1. Go to the business question Where are our project dependencies? and click the  Filter local filter button.
  2. Select a project in the Focus Project field to limit the data to a manageable amount.
  3. In the Dependency Type field, select one or more of the following options:
    • Select Time to understand dependencies due to a timing issue. This means a project must be completed first before the next project can begin.
    • Select Architecture to understand dependencies between projects due to an architecture issue. This means an architecture element must first be provided by a project before the next project can begin.
    • Select Resource to understand dependencies between projects due to a resource issue. This means a project must first be completed so that the resource is freed up to begin the next project.
  4. Click Update and click X to close the filter panel. Any project dependency line that points to a project that has the same project status or a project status to the left requires attention. This indicates that a project cannot move forward until the project that it is dependent on is completed.
  5. Double-click a project that is causing the dependency to navigate to its content area.
  6. Go to Monitoring > Project Dependency Map to understand the project dependencies in detail.
