What is the timeline of an epic?

The Portfolio Roadmap helps stakeholders understand the hypothesized timelines for business and enabler epics. Unlike traditional projects, epics do not have fixed start and end dates. Instead, ongoing investment decisions are guided by their WSJF scores. As a result, the timelines on the roadmap are indicative and subject to change.

Use the Portfolio Roadmap to communicate the plan of intent for achieving the portfolio vision and strategic themes over an extended period, represented through epics. The red bars start with the Funnel Entry Date and ending with the Planned Target Date. The current status of each epic is displayed.

To change the timeline of an epic, select the epic and click the  button. In the editor, change the Funnel Entry Date or Planned Target Date fields and click Update.
