SymbolForStyleConfig Add an icon to the icon gallery

You can upload icons in PNG and SVG format. The special characters <,>,*,%,&,:,\,? may not be used in the names of icons available in Alfabet.

  1. Go to the Presentations tab.
  2. Right-click the Icon Gallery node and select one of the following libraries, depending on the icons you want to upload:
    • Edit Icons (22x22) to add PNG files with images that are 22x22 pixel in size. This is the size of icons used in the standard configuration and best fits icons for object classes and navigation menu items.
    • Edit Large Icons (30x30) to add PNG files with images that are 30x30 pixel in size.
    • Edit Free Icons (any size) to add PNG files with images that are of an arbitrary size.
    • Edit SVG Images to add SVG files with an arbitrary size.

The Edit Original Images (any size) option is deprecated and available for reference purposes for customers migrating to Alfabet 11 releases from Alfabet 10.15 releases to see the images used in the deprecated guide view configurations. This icon gallery must not be used to upload images.

  3. You will see the Icons editor in the center pane displaying any previously uploaded custom icons. In the toolbar, select Icon Manager > Add New Icons.
  4. In the window that opens, select the file type and icon that you want to add and click OK. The icon is automatically displayed in the Icon Manager in the center pane of Alfabet Expand.
  5. Optionally, click the icon in the center pane and change the Name attribute. The special characters <,>,*,%,&,:,\,? may not be used in the names of icons available in Alfabet.
  6. Click the Save  Save_Expand button in the toolbar.
