Define a condition based on filter or editor field settings
Conditions for visibility of filter fields or the visibility and editability of editor fields can be defined via expressions. Expressions can also be used to define whether editor fields are mandatory. Expressions are testing the setting of other filter fields or editor fields. Only if the setting fulfills the condition, the field controlled by the condition is visibe, editable, or mandatory. This kind of condition requires that the filter or editor fields are configured to be submitted and updated immediately after changes.
You must do the following to configure this type of conditional contraints:
- Create a condition and specify one or more expressions needed for the condition.
- Configure the field whose value determines the visibility, editability, or mandatory setting of another field to submit any set value immediately to the database.
- Assign the condition to the field you want to control and set this field to update on each submit.
