Map user data

The Alfabet SCIM application will by default push user data required for user authentication management on Alfabet side from the identity provider to Alfabet. You can define that additional data is taken over from the identity provider. This information needs to be mapped with object class properties of the object class PERSON in Alfabet.

  1. In the SCIM application, go to System Management.
  2. Click the Edit Mapping button.
  3. You will see a field for each information that you can potentially include in the user data import to the Alfabet database. For each of the fields you would like to map in the future steps, you should check whether a target object class property with the required data type is available in the Alfabet meta-model for the object class Person . If you cannot find a standard object class property as target for data import, you can define a custom object class property. Definition of object class properties is not yet part of the Alfabet 11.9 documentation. You can read about it in the documentation of Alfabet 10.15. The methods for definition of custom object class properties have not changed between releases.

You need the values of the Tech Name attribute for all target object class properties in the next steps.

  4. Click Cancel to close the editor.
  5. Click the Edit Alfabet Tech Names button.
  6. For each Alfabet target object class property of the object class Person in the Alfabet meta-model, click the + sign in the upper right of the editor window, type the value for the Tech Name attribute of the object class property in the new line of the table, and click Save on the right of the new line.
  7. Click anywhere outside the editor window to close it.
  8. Click the Edit Mapping button.
  9. To activate data import to the Alfabet database for one of the listed identity provider data, select the technical name of the target object class property in the drop-down list of the Active Alfabet Column field and select the checkbox of the Enabled field.
