Setting up the SCIM environment

The Alfabet SCIM application manages pushing of user data from the identity provider to the Alfabet database via the Alfabet RESTful services.

The Alfabet SCIM application can either be started as an executable from the physical directory or implemented as a web application on a web server independent from the installation of the Alfabet API server. The identity provider must have access to the installation of the Alfabet SCIM application. The Alfabet SCIM application must have access to the Alfabet API server providing the Alfabet RESTful services.

In addition, access to the SCIM application must be granted to an administrative user. Two-factor authentication is used at the Alfabet SCIM application to further enhance security.

The following documentation describes the required configuration on Alfabet side. At the identity provider, you must define the access parameters for granting access for the Alfabet SCIM application, following the documentation of the identity provider.
