Create a system user for the Alfabet RESTful services

You must add a system user with access permissions to the Alfabet RESTful services to the Alfabet database.

1. Open the Alfabet Administrator.
2. Expand the Alfabet Aliases node.
3. Right-click the server alias used for the Alfabet API server and select Connect.
4. Enter the credentials for access to the Alfabet database.
5. In the explorer, expand the User Management node and click System Users.
6. In the toolbar, click New > Create System User.
7. In the Basic Data tab, define a login user name in the User Name field.
8. Open the API Permissions tab
9. Set the checkmark Has API v2 Access.
10. In the API Access Options field, set the checkmarks for Has PasswordAPI Access and Has UpdateObjects Access.
11. Click the Generate Password button.
12. Copy the displayed API User Name and API Password to use them in a later configuration step.
