Capture and manage demands
The license package Strategic Portfolio Management is required and the use case Demand Management must be enabled to work with the classes Demand and Demand Group and the business questions What is our demand pipeline? and Which demands should be realized?
Enterprise Architecture (EA) demand management is a critical process that ensures alignment between business needs, transformation projects, and the IT architecture. It helps organizations prioritize and manage requests for new IT services, applications, or changes to the architecture, ensuring they align with the overall strategic goals of the enterprise.
The Demand Management use case helps you to establish a central inventory for demands so that business stakeholders have transparency on the status of their demands. Assign demand responsibility and document the architecture that they impact to avoid implementation conflicts and identify duplication early. Compare and consolidate similar demands to reduce implementation effort and avoid conflicts during project execution. Bundle demands in demand groups and evaluate the demand catalog to understand which demands might contribute to a single project or if one demand initiates a project.
Alfabet provides an Out-of-the-box Demand to Budget workflow that supports the user community in the creating transparent and consistent data in the demand-to-project process.
