A nested matrix shows the as-is application landscape organized according to the business processes they support. Here's how to interpret the information:
- The first-level business processes are shown on the top of the column.
- The second-level business processes are shown as grey boxes below the parent business process.
- The grey boxes contain the applications that support the business process.
- The grey boxes also contain an Edit button that opens a data workbench with all applications supporting the business process. You can use all features of the data workbench to slice-and-dice your data to do the analyses you are interested in.
Business processes and applications must be in the repository and well-documented. The following data is required in order to have meaningful results :
- Defined business process hierarchy with parent business processes and their subordinate business processes
- For each application, specify the business processes that they provide support to
