Which applications cause complexity in the application landscape?

Too many information flows in an application landscape can create significant complexity across technical, operational, and strategic dimensions. Review the number of interfaces for applications to understand potential risks to the business. Consider where complexity can be reduced.

  1. Go to the business question What is our application landscape? and click the  Filter local filter button.
    • Select # Interfaces in the Show Application KPI field.
    • Click Update and click X to close the filter panel.
  2. Click the ThreeDots_Black 3-dots button > Show Legend to understand the color coding.
  3. To understand an application's incoming and outgoing information flows, double-click an application to go to the application's content area > Information Portfolio > Information Flows and Information Flows Diagram.
