Which business capabilities are at risk due to failure in application support?

Look for obsolete applications providing support to critical business capabilities. Spot applications built on aging or unsupported technologies. - Assess which business capabilities are at risk due to legacy systems.

  1. Go to the business question What is our application landscape? and click the  Filter local filter button and specify the following fields:
    • Show Application KPI: Select Application EoL to show the indicator for the amount of time before the application reaches its end-of-life.
    • Color Rule: Select Technical Obsolescence in the field to identify which business capabilities are at risk due to applications that use a component that has reached the end of its planned lifecycle.
    • Click Update and click X to close the filter panel.
  2. Click the ThreeDots_Black 3-dots button > Show Legend to understand the color coding.
  3. To understand the components that an application uses, double-click an application to go to the application's content area > Technology Context > Component Lifecycles.
  4. Review the components that have an end date before the application's end date and consider whether to update the components or replace the unsupported application .
