1. Go to the 25 Most-Costly Applications report and click the  Filter local filter button.
  2. In the Recommendation field, select Eliminate to understand the costs of the applications that have been recommended to be discontinued.
  3. Change the recommendation setting to carry out a what-if analysis to understand the financial results of rationalization activities. Analyze costs based on any of the following values:
    • Tolerate: The application is acceptable in its current state and does not require immediate investment or change.
    • Invest: The application is strategically important and should be enhanced or expanded to support future needs.
    • Migrate: The application should be moved to a newer platform or technology to reduce risk or improve fit.
    • Eliminate: The application provides insufficient value and should be retired or decommissioned.
    • Unknown: There is currently not enough information to determine an appropriate recommendation
  4. Click Update.
