Capture AI technology data
The extension package AI Portfolio Management is required to work with AI technologies.
An AI technology is a technical feature is used to perform a task to enable an AI feature. For example, an AI feature that answers questions in a customer support chatbot requires technologies as Text Classification, Machine Translation, and Question Answering. Translation, and Question Answering.
In the navigation panel, click AI Portfolio Management > AI Technologies. Per default, the data workbench displays only a set of basic attributes. You can add more columns to capture other attributes directly in the data workbench or you can navigate to an AI technology's content area and define it in more detail there. Go to AI Portfolio Management > AI Technologies and click New > AI Technology
Click the Navigate button next to an AI technology to open its content area. Specify the AI technology's attributes as well as the relationships that the AI technology has to other assets in the repository.
Try to capture as much information as possible about the AI technology because complete data considerably improves the results of business questions and other analytics.
Once an AI technology is in the repository, you can define more details about it in the AI Features data workbench.
Per default, the data workbench displays a limited set of basic attributes. You can add more columns via the Structure column to capture other attributes directly in the data workbench.
Or specify and analyze the AI technology in detail in its content area . In the data workbench, click the Navigate button for a AI technology to open its content area > Overview page.
Define the AI technology's basic data. All mandatory fields must be defined to create the AI technology and save it.
- Name: (Mandatory) Enter a unique name for the AI technology. The name should help others easily understand the purpose of the AI technology.

Status: This is an approval status and typically indicates the level of quality of the information about the AI technology. Possible values are:
- Draft: The AI technology has only mandatory data defined.
- Under Review: The AI technology is documented and being reviewed. An AI technology with this release status cannot be deleted.
- Approved: The AI technology has been approved by the responsible stakeholders. An AI technology cannot be deleted when it has an approved release status. An AI technology with this release status cannot be deleted.
- Declined: The AI technology has not been approved.
- Retired: The AI technology is no longer valid.
- Description: Enter a meaningful description that will clarify the purpose of the AI technology.
Specify the locations where the AI technology is/is not allowed. Specify the locations where the AI technology is permissible in the Geographic Limitations > Allowed Locations field. Specify where the AI technology may not be used in the Disallowed Locations field.
A component may provide AI models AI models that have been trained on data to recognize patterns, make predictions, or perform tasks autonomously, or AI technologies that perform tasks to enable AI features.
Go to the content area of the component you want to define. In the Overview > Architecture section, set the Has AI Models/Technologies attribute to Yes. The AI Context page appears where you can specify the AI models and the AI features that the component provides via AI technologies.
