How can I reduce the number of information flows between applications?

If the flow report has many information flows between the same source and target application, you can show one distinct connection for each combination of source/target application.

  1. Go to the business question What are our architectural dependencies? and click the  Filter local filter button.
  2. Select an application in the Application field.
  3. Select Information Flow Count in the Information Flow Attribute field.
  4. Click Update and click X to close the filter panel. The number of information flows relevant for each combination of source/target application is shown on the information flow.
  5. Double-click an information flow to navigate to a view that shows all information flows between the source and target applications. Review the data to assess whether complexity can be reduced.
