- Go to the business question What is our service roadmap? and click the
global filter button.
- Enter a date in the Active Date field to understand the applications that have a start date before the date and an end date after the date.
- Display service items that provide the business services in the Gantt chart. Click the
local filter button and in the Show Service Items field, select the type of service delivery you want to include in the Gantt chart. - Business services are provided by applications, deployments, and support services.
- Support services are provided by components and physical and virtual servers.
- Click Update and click X to close the filter panel. The service items and their lifecycles are listed below the respective business service that they deliver.
- Look for business services that will have reached their end-of-life and have no successor business service defined. Consider whether a successor business service should be defined or whether the business service can be sundowned.
- Examine whether a service item providing a business service is no longer available before the end date of the business service. Consider how the business service shall be provided if the supporting service items are no longer available.
