Share content with your colleagues
You can share content such as data workbenches, views, indicator cards as well as entire content area pages that you have created with your colleagues. Content can be shared with individual users or all users in a user group. You can specify who to share the content with when you add the content to your content repository or by clicking your user icon in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting My Content Items. All content items that you have created can be edited and shared with users and user groups.
Whenever content is shared with a user, a notification will be automatically displayed in the notification panel of the recipient. The notification includes the name and type of content that was shared and a timestamp of when the content was shared.
Share data workbenches, views, indicator cards, etc. with other users.
- Add the content you want to share via 3-dots button > Add to Content Repository. In the Add Content dialog, specify the individual users or user groups you want to share it with.
- Add the shared content to your content areas via the 3-dots button > Manage content on Page.
Share content area pages with embedded content. You can add shared content area pages that may have lots of content embedded in it to a content area. The content area that you add a shared page to must be of the same class as the class that it was created for.
- Create a content page via the 3-dots button > Add New Page. Add the relevant content to the new page.
- Add the content page you want to share via 3-dots button > Add Current Page to Content Repository. In the Add Content dialog, specify the individual users or user groups you want to share it with.
- Add the shared page to your content area via the 3-dots button > Show/Hide Page. The page can only be added to a content area that is of the same as the class that it was created for. The following symbols are displayed next to the shared content in the Show / Hide Page panel:
- : A content item is created but not shared with anyone else
- : You have shared a content item with someone else.
- : A content item has been shared by someone else with you.
- : An administrative user has shared a content item with you.
