Create an analytics dashboard

  1. Go to Analytics Dashboards > Dashboards.
  2. In the explorer, click My Analytics Dashboards.

The content of the other nodes beneath the root level of the explorer is currently not functional.

  3. Click + New > Create an Analytics Dashboard in the toolbar.
  4. Set the attributes of the analytics dashboard in the Basic Data tab.
    • Name: The name is displayed to users selecting the analytic dashboard for their content area.
    • Description: The description is only available to you as the designer to remember the purpose of the analytics dashboard.
    • Release Status: Specify whether you are currently using the analytics dashboard for testing, production, creation of a new version, or whether it is retired and shall not be used any longer. You should change the information in this field whenever the release status of the analytics dashboard changes.
  5. In the Authorized Access tab, you are automatically set as the user responsible for maintaining the analytics dashboard. You can select authorized user groups with users allowed to change the analytics dashboard. Only users in user groups you selected will have edit permissions to the analytics dashboard. Users in the authorized user groups can also add the analytics dashboard to class-independent content areas in any user profile they are logged in with.
  6. Click Next.
  7. In step 2 - 4 of the editor, define which users will be able to add the content area to class-independent content areas:
    • Users that you select in Step 2 of 4: User Access to Analytics Dashboard can add the dashboard to content areas regardless of the user profile they are logged in with.
    • Users that are members of one of the user groups you select in Step 3 of 4: User Group Access to Analytics Dashboard or that are members of one of the authorized user groups selected in the Authorized Access tab in step 1 can add the dashboard to content areas regardless of the user profile they are logged in with.
    • Users which are not explicitly authorized via a user group or because they are selected in Step 2 of 4: User Access to Analytics Dashboard can only add the dashboard to content areas if they are logged in with a user profile you select in Step 4: User Access to Analytics Dashboard.
  8. Click Exit to close the editor.
