Focus on the data you want to capture
The Data Roundtrip functionality provides a visualization of all or part of the meta-model. You can set filters to display the object classes and their relationships that are necessary to understand a specific business question or a set of business questions.
Set filters to view the classes relevant for a business question. Click the Filter button and select a business question in the Business Question field and click Update. The visualization shows the classes and relationships that are needed to capture adequate data for the business question.
Set filters to focus on a specific set of business questions. Click the Filter button and select a category like Governance, Transparency, Risk, etc. in the Business Question field and click Update. The visualization shows the classes and relationships that are needed to capture adequate data for all business questions in that category.
Set filters to focus on specific classes. Click the Filter button and select one or more object classes in the Object Class field and click Update. The visualization shows the classes and relationships that are needed to capture adequate data for the selected classes.
You can select any object class diagram item or a relationship diagram item visualized in the Data Roundtrip view and click Capture Data > Generate XLSX File to generate the XLSX file to capture data for the selected class or relationship. The XLSX file that is generated will contain per default all object class properties for the object class. Click for information about how you can change the underlying data capture template that the XLSX file is based on.
