Specify your logo and color themes
Preconfigured themes are available to specify the logo in the header as well as the colors of the user interface elements. A standard Default Theme is available as well as a theme called High-Contrast that uses a limited color palette with contrasting colors that makes the user interface easier to use. These two standard themes are available per default with Alfabet.
You can change the logo as well as customize a small set of styles for user elements.
- In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > Color Themes.
- Click New > Create Color Theme to create a new theme. Alternatively, you can select an existing theme in the dataset and New > Create as Copy.
- Define a name for the color theme and a caption to display to the user community in User Settings.
- In the Style Groups box, ensure that at least the Global Style Group is selected.
- Select Is Active to make the theme available in the user interface in User Settings.
- Click the new custom theme in the Color Themes explorerand go to the Style Definition view.
- In the Value column, change the colors and upload logos in the data workbench.
- It is recommended that you specify styles in the style group type Global. Enter Global in the filter for the Style Group Type column.
- You can upload PNG and SVG files for the style attributesFull-size Logo and Condensed Logo PNG files may not be larger than 100KB. Both logos are displayed in the upper left corner of the user interface whereby the condensed logo is displayed if the left navigation panel is collapsed. The same graphic can be used for both the full-size and condensed versions of the logo.
- Once the style attributes are changed, ensure that the Is Active attribute is set to Yes for the custom theme.
- To test the changed styles in the user interface, log out of Alfabet and log in again.
- Click your user icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Select User Settings and change the Current Theme field to the custom theme.
