Establish governance of your IT assets

The business questions in the Governance section of the navigation panel address accountability of IT assets and where to focus your change efforts. Turn to these business questions to:

• Understand which business capabilities are most critical for your business and which applications support those business capabilities.
• Identify who is responsible for which assets and fill any gaps of accountability. Make sure you know who the right contacts are when making investment decisions about your company's assets.
• Enhance governance of the technology portfolio by promoting a catalog of technology standards. Identify non-standard technologies and find more cost-effective alternatives.
• Ensure organization ownership of all applications in the application portfolio to mitigate risk to your company's IT infrastructure and ensure that the IT is prepared for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) audits.
