How do I edit the component lifecycle in Where do we have technology risk?

A component's lifecycle describes the succession of stages that the component goes through over time in terms of its productive use.

  1. Navigate to a data workbench for components either by clicking a matrix cell or the Edit edit button > Edit Components.
  2. Click Visualize > Gantt Chart to display a lifecycle chart of the components and click the Update button and X to close the panel.
  3. Select a component in the Gantt chart and click Edit Lifecycle. Edit the start and end dates for the following lifecycle phases:
    • Manufacturer Support: Indicates that the technology is relevant to be used in a production environment.
    • Manufacturer Extended Support: Indicates that the technology is still available, but should be avoided for use in a production environment.
  4. Click Align Active Period to automatically align the start/end dates of the active period of the component with the start/end dates of the lifecycle phases that begin and end the active period.
