Which assets are missing a role definition?

  1. Go to the business question Who is responsible for our assets? > Asset Responsibilities view.
  2. Click the dlt-icon-filter_Teal button and switch on Assets Without Roles. You can also limit the type of assets displayed by setting the Object Class field.
  3. Click Update and click X to close the filter panel. The dataset is updated to show all assets that have no role defined.
  4. Specify a role for all assets that have no responsible person or organization defined. Select the asset in the table and click the EditSingle edit button.
    • If a person shall fulfill the role: Click the Person button and select the role type for the person. Only role types available for the type of asset are displayed. In the next selector that opens, select the persons that shall fulfill the role and click OK.
    • If an organization shall fulfill the role: Click the Organization button and select the role type for the organization. In the next selector that opens, select the organizations that shall fulfill the role.
  5. The dataset in the dialog is updated with the role. Repeat until all relevant roles for persons and organizations are defined. Click EXIT to close the editor.
