Import data from ServiceNow
Go to Integrations > ServiceNow.
For each asset class that can be synchronized with ServiceNow, there is a sub-view showing the ServiceNow raw import data imported to the Alfabet internal ServiceNow data repository. Click on the heading of the relevant view to open it. Click the three-dots menu and select Synchronization Jobs. A new view opens which shows all preconfigured ADIF import jobs for import of the data for the relevant asset class. For each asset class, you can select between the following ADIF jobs relevant for data import from ServiceNow:
- Import <Asset Name> Data from ServiceNow: This job is for first import of data from ServiceNow. It will import all data from all CI classes mapped to the Alfabet asset class.
- Import <Asset Name> Net Change Data from ServiceNow: This job is for any import after first import of data has already been done. Only data added or changed in ServiceNow since last import will be imported.
- Import <Asset Name>:<ServiceNowCIClass> Net Change Data from ServiceNow: This type of job is only relevant if multiple CI classes are mapped to one Alfabet asset class. The job is for any import after first import of data has already been done. Only data added or changed in ServiceNow since last import will be imported for one mapped CI class only.
Select the checkbox of the relevant ADIF job in the list and select New > Execute Job Schedule. To check the status of the job, you can expand the row of the executed ADIF job to the last level. Refresh the page to update the execution status. The job is finished when the Event Status is Finished.
