Specify your logo and color themes

Software GmbH provides preconfigured themes that determine the logo in the header as well as the colors of the user interface elements. A standard Default Theme is available as well as a theme called High-Contrast that uses a limited color palette with contrasting colors that makes the user interface easier to use. These two standard themes are available per default with Alfabet FastLane 

You can change the logo as well as customize a small set of styles for user elements.

1. In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > Customs Themes.
2. Click New > Create Theme to create a new theme. Alternatively, you can select an existing theme in the dataset and New > Create as Copy.
3. Define a name for the theme and a caption to display to the user community in User Settings.
4. In the Style Groups box, ensure that at least the Global Style Group is selected.
5. Select Is Active to make the theme available in the user interface in User Settings.
6. Click the new custom theme in the Themes explorer and go to the Style Attributes page.
7. Click Themes to open the view. It is recommended that you specify styles in the style group Global. Enter Global in the filter for the Style Group column.
   • Change the logo.

     You can upload an SVG file to the style attributes Full-size Logo and Condensed Logo. Both logos are displayed in the upper left corner of the user interface whereby the condensed logo is displayed if the left navigation panel is collapsed. The same graphic can be used for both the full-size and condensed versions of the logo.

     1. Select the style attribute Full-size Logo and click the Edit button.
     2. In the Style Attribute Value editor, click in the Upload cell.
     3. The Upload files dialog opens. Click Select File, select the SVG file that you want to upload, and click OK.
     4. Click the Upload button and click OK again to close the Upload files dialog.
     5. Click OK one more time to close the Style Attribute Valueeditor.
     6. Repeat for the Condensed Logo attribute.
   • Change the colors of interface elements.

     You can change the color of any other style attributes in the Global style group.

     • Select a style attribute and click the Edit button.
     • Click the arrow for the color to open the color picker. Select a color in the color picker, enter RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values in the fields, or enter a Hex value in the # field. Click OK to close the color picker.
     • Click OK one more time to close the Style Attribute Valueeditor.
     • Repeat for the other style attributes.
8. Once the style attributes are changed, ensure that the Is Active attribute is set to Yes for the custom theme.
9. To test the changed styles in the user interface, log out of Alfabet FastLane and log in again.
10. Click your user icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Select User Settings and change the Current Theme field to the custom theme.
