Navigate to a content area to edit data
You can navigate to the content area for any asset in a data workbench or business question. The content area is like a fact sheet that provides a large amount of information the asset. You can edit the data for the asset in the content area if you have read-writ permissions to the asset. Click the Navigate button in the first column in the data workbench to navigate to the asset's content area. The content area provides content items such as attribute groups, views where data can be defined or analyzed, and indicator cards that provide information about the asset. Depending on your access permissions, you may be able to edit the asset.
- Click the Edit button in the header to open the edit panel to edit the basic attributes.
- Switch pages to access information about the object. Each page bundles content items that might display attributes or views. A More button may be added depending on the number of pages and screen space.
- Edit attributes directly in the content items displaying attributes. Click next to the attribute to activate a text field that you can type in or a drop-down menu to select a value, or click the magnifier to open a selector to specify a reference. If multiple selections are allowed, the selector will remain open after the first reference is selected. The options that are already selected are displayed first. Select or clear values as needed.
- Click a view title to open a view and, if relevant, edit the data.
