Test the connection to the Alfabet Database

1. Start the Alfabet Administrator from the Windows® Start Menu.
2. Expand the Alfabet Aliases node in the explorer.
3. Right-click the server alias that connects to the Alfabet database and select Connect.
4. A login window is displayed. Enter the user name and password for connection to the Alfabet database or, to connect via Windows sign-on, leave the fields empty and click OK to connect to the Alfabet database.

If the connection is successful, the server alias is expanded, and the color of the server alias symbol will change to green. If the connection is not successful, an error message will be displayed.
