Alfabet FastLane includes a set of preconfigured data that is necessary in order to use the business questions and other analytics in the product. In addition to the preconfigured role types, indicator types, connection details for information flows, and generic attributes, you can also configure your own to address the specific needs of your company. The data you configure will be available for selection in the user interface along with the preconfigured data.
business question
A business question provides business-relevant information about the IT portfolio in the form of graphic analytics. "Who is responsible for our assets?", "What are our investment/retirement candidates?", and "How will IT failure impact our business?" are examples of business questions.
role type
A role type is a configured prototype that describes a functional role that users or organizations can have for an object class. Every role defined for an object is based on a configured role type.
indicator type
An indicator type is a dimension of measurement regarding the performance of an object in the IT landscape. Example indicator types are Business Relevant or Number of Users. The indicator is the value defined for an indicator type in the context of an object in the IT landscape.
generic attribute
A generic attribute is a custom attribute that allows the ad-hoc capture of information for a class.
