The following is introduced to the Alfabet platform this release.
Manage the visibility of retired objects
Objects that are no longer in active use can be retained for historical analysis by setting their Object State to Retired instead of deleting them from the repository. This preserves valuable information about past business transformations, technology deployments, and architectural decisions while maintaining a complete historical record.
To simplify day-to-day data maintenance, a new Show Retired Objects option has been added to User Settings in the user menu. When disabled, retired objects are excluded from masthead search results and from standard views throughout the application, allowing users to focus on active content.
Retired objects remain available in data workbenches and configured reports, where filtering capabilities and reporting functions continue to support historical analysis and enterprise architecture documentation. This enables organizations to balance a clean user experience with access to historical data when required.
For customers migrating from 10.15, this functionality reintroduces a capability that was available in earlier releases.
