Migration of user profiles

User profiles from the Alfabet 10 installation are taken over for the Alfabet 11 installation including the user profile assignment to users.

Only a sub-set of the attributes of the user profile configuration object in Alfabet Expand are currently evaluated.

The main changes in the user profile settings are:

• With the new Classes for New Menu attribute you can select the object classes for which new objects can be created via the New button in the masthead of the Alfabet user interface.
• Guide Views and Guide Pages are no longer supported. Click for details on migration of navigation menus, guide views and guide pages.
• The role of view schemes has been changed.
• AlfaBot and Feedback Bot are no longer supported.
• The functionality to provide context-sensitive help and online help has changed. The specification of a URL link to standard or custom help or an automated assistant view in the Custom Help section of configuration objects is no longer supported.
• User self-administration for user profile assignment is not supported.
• WAI-ARIA is not yet supported.

Customers migrating a standard Alfabet Accelerator configuration should remove user profile assignments to users for all user profiles currently not supported. Do not delete the user profiles. They are currently re-defined and will be available in later releases. The following user profiles are already migrated to Alfabet 11 and assignments to users shall remain as is:

• Application Manager
• Portfolio Admin
• Portfolio Analyst
• Portfolio Manager
