Data requirements

Projects must be in the repository including their budgets, time schedule and project milestones, and required resources.

• Go to the Data Quality page and resolve all issues to ensure that your data source is reliable and that you will have meaningful results for this business question. These issues should be resolved to generate accurate insight about the project roadmap.
• Go to the Data Source page of the business question. The Projects data table shows existing projects and let's you create new ones. Specify the status and start and end dates for each project to ensure that you have meaningful data to assess the business question. Navigate to the content area of the project and ensure the following data is defined:
  • Overview > Operational Expenses. Specify the budget for the various cost types for all relevant years.
  • Overview > Project Dependencies. Specify the projects that this project is dependent on due to issues of time, required assets in the architecture, or resources.
  • Architecture > Affected Architecture Scope. Add the assets in the IT architecture that are impacted by the project.
  • Monitoring > Project Evaluation. Provide a value for the Budget indicator to assess project costs, the Resource indicator to assess the use of personnel as well as other resources needed to run the project, and the Time indicator to indicate whether the project is delayed.
  • Monitoring > Project Milestones. Specify project milestones to monitor the development of the project.
