Review and edit configuration objects in the Alfabet user interface
You can access the Alfabet user interface from Alfabet Expand.

Access to the user interface is only possible if a system administrator has configured the server alias for access to Alfabet Expand to connect to a running Alfabet Web Application. The URL of the running Alfabet Web Application must be entered in the Expand > Test Web Application field in the server alias editor. |
Access to the Alfabet user interface is required for the following tasks:
- Define the layout of content areas.: You can define content and the order and size of content items in a content area in a special user profile opened from Alfabet Expand.
- Configure ADIF schemes with assistants ADIF schemes for API integrations with third-party components are configured in assistants. You must select the assistant in the Assistant attribute. Right-click the ADIF scheme and select Create ADIF Scheme Details Using the Assistant. The assistants opens in a web interface.
- Review Reports: You can right-click a configured report with an active state and select Review report to open the report in the Alfabet user interface and check the outcome of your configuration.
- Edit object data. Sometimes Alfabet objects must be accessed and edited in the scope of a configuration or configuration objects must be changed directly in the Alfabet user interface, for example, to create a default view for a data workbench. If you access the Alfabet user interface from Alfabet Expand, you will have complete access to all objects in Alfabet regardless of the access permissions defined for such objects. In the Admin tab, right-click a user profile and select Run Application with Selected User Profile to open the Alfabet user interface from Alfabet Expand.
