- If a whitelist is used to restrict file export and import capabilities to only a limited number of file extensions, data capture templates could not be used if Microsoft Excel® files were excluded from use in Alfabet. To enable exclusion of Microsoft Excel files from use in Alfabet with the exception of data capture templates, the data capture capability no longer reads the whitelist and data capture is possible as long as Microsoft Excel file extensions are not included in the blacklist.
- In the standards configuration, XML has been removed from the blacklist configuration. This is required for the using the currently internal only ADIF functionality in the user interface. If XML is not allowed as file extension for upload and download, adding or replacing ADIF scheme configurations via merge from XML file will not work.
- In the configuration of custom explorers, DataWorkbench can be used as view type to assign a data workbenche to an explorer node.
- A new SVG Images icon gallery is available for import and export of SVG images.
- The attributes in the Custom Help section of various configuration objects like configured reports and object views is deprecated. The way help is provided has changed completely. Click for information about the new way to configure help.
- The XML attribute UpdatePeriod of the XML object RightsManager is no longer used. The new Alfabet platform will process any changes to access permissions of objects immediately after the change to the relevant access settings are done. If a user for example changes the authorized user setting for an object the user has been the authorized user for, this user looses the ability to edit the object immediately and ReadWrite access permissions are immediately granted to the new authorized user.
