Which contracts will end soon?
Manage contract renewal dates in a timely manner by ensuring that successor contracts are available in order to mitigate risks to your enterprise. Consider whether you want to check for contracts with an impending end date from either a vendor perspective or a buyer perspective.
- Go to the business question What is our vendor roadmap? and click the
local filter button.
- Specify the Vendor View / Buyer View field depending on the perspective you are interested in.
- Select End Date in the Sort Order field to focus on the contracts that are ending soon.
- Click Update and click X to close the filter panel.
- Review the following:
- Check for contracts with a
review date milestone that is close to the current date, which is visualized by the blue vertical line. Point to the symbol to display the review date.
- Contracts with an impending review data should be assessed to see whether a successor contract is available. Relationships between predecessor and successor applications as well as predecessor and successor contracts are displayed as blue vertical lines. Click the
local filter button and make sure that the Exclude Predecessor / Successor Contracts field is not switched on.
- Review whether contracts end before the lifecycle of the contract deliverables. If the contract ends before the end date of the delivered applications and components, have successor contracts been defined? If not, contact the person responsible for the contract deliverable to clarify the situation.
