What information is available
The Technology Manager user profile bundles the functionality you need as a data steward to add components to the repository and capture the basic information about them. Click Home in the left navigation panel to use the following views:

Components by Vendor Support: The pie chart displays the number of vendors according to their lifecycle phases. Double-click a pie slice to view a data workbench showing all vendors with that lifecycle phase. Use the features of the data workbench to slice-and-dice your data to focus on data and do the analyses you are interested in.. The following lifecycle phases may be displayed:
- Manufacturer Support: Indicates that the technology is relevant to be used in a production environment.
- Manufacturer Extended Support: Indicates that the technology is still available, but should be avoided for use in a production environment.

Components by Status: The pie chart displays components based on their status. This is an approval status and typically indicates the level of quality of the information about the component. The release status determines whether a component can or cannot be deleted. Possible values are:
- Draft: The component has only mandatory data defined.
- Under Review: The component is documented and being reviewed. A component with this release status cannot be deleted.
- Approved: The component has been approved by the responsible stakeholders. An component cannot be deleted when it has an approved release status. A component with this release status cannot be deleted.
- Data imported: The data regarding this component has been imported from an external system. Additional changes may be required to improve the data quality. A component with this release status can be deleted.
- Trash: The component is no longer valid and can be deleted.
- Component Data Completeness: The pie chart displays the quality of the data of the components in the repository. Double-click the Issues pie slice to open a view listing existing data quality issues. Click the link in the Resolution column to navigate to the view where the issue can be immediately corrected.

Components: View the components that you have access permissions to and add new components via the
plus sign button add components to the repository.
A guided data entry view is available to help you provide relevant data and ensure data quality for the components in your repository. When you create a new component in the editor, click the Close and Continue as Guided Editing button to open the data entry view. Or go to the component's content area toolbar and click Analysis View > Data Entry View.
You will see a content area page with an additional panel listing content items like Basic Data, Lifecycle Data, Evaluation. Click the content item caption to navigate to the content item in the data entry view. Symbols with numbers in the right panel indicate how many data quality issues exist. Click the data quality issue symbol to navigate your focus directly to the spot where you can fix the issue.
The left navigation panel displays the following:
- Recent Assets: Access the data that you have most recently touched.
- Workflows: Access to workflow activities that you are responsible for.
- Data Quality: Click to access My Data Quality Issues to understand the data quality issues for the assets that you have responsibility for. Click Data Collection Initiative to collect portfolio data.
- Favorites: Access your favorite data and views.
- My Components: This is the same components data workbench that is available in the Home area where you can capture component data.
- Business Architecture: View the reference data for View reference data including business capabilities , business processes , locations , organizations , and vendors.
- Application Architecture: View reference data including applications , peripherals, and application groups.
- Technology Architecture: View reference data including IT capabilities , components, component groups, and component categories.
