Changes to user authentication mechanisms
In Alfabet 11.10, the following user authentication methods are supported: user name and password, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth/OpenID.
- Standard login with user name and password
- Windows authentication
- SAML
- OAuth/OpenID
- LDAP
Changes in the server alias fields:
Server Alias > Security tab:
- Allow Re-Login: Re-login with user name and password is currently not supported for users logging in with Windows Authentication. The Allow Relogin checkbox in the server alias of the Alfabet Web Application is ignored. The checkbox will be removed in a future release and the functionality will be provided via a different method.
Client Settings > Authentication tab:
- Mode: The options SSO_Portal and SSO_CustomMethod have been removed from the drop-down list of this field. Portal authentication and custom methods for authentication are no longer supported.
- HTTP Server Variable for Portal Integration: The field has been removed. Portal authentication is not supported any longer.
- Custom Method: This field has been removed. Custom code for authentication is no longer supported.
