A user that is created directly in Alfabet FastLane will be managed in Alfabet FastLane and standard login can be configured for the user. Users that are created via login using single sign-on mechanisms are regarded as users that are externally managed and not managed in Alfabet FastLane.

The functionalities available for Alfabet-managed users password management are not relevant for users that are managed externally.

You can convert a user created via a single sign-on mechanism or via external LDAP login to a user managed in Alfabet FastLane and vice versa:

Convert an externally-manage user to an Alfabet-managed user.,In User Administration, select the user you want to convert to an Alfabet-managed user. lick Action > Set as Alfabet-Managed User 

Convert an Alfabet-managed user to an externally-managed user.,In User Administration, select the user you want to convert to an externally-managed user.Click Action > Set as Non-Alfabet-Managed User
